This Atelier Cph print design from the collection 'Deconstructed' is inspired by architectural sketches. The inspiration for architectural lines came from our research trip to Berlin where we visited the Bauhaus Archive. Bauhaus was a pillar of modernism and made space for experimentation in design, which we found interesting while researching for this collection. Also the art movement De Stijl, which is all about pure abstraction and universality by a reduction to the essentials of form and colour, has been an important influence for the collection. With this in mind we created an assembly of cubistic and geometric shapes, and where both vertical and horisontal lines meet. Cut-outs and layering of hand painted paper in a redish-brown create a new minimalistic dimension in each piece.
This art work is printed on 200g uncoated Munken Pure paper and comes in 2 sizes 500 x 700 mm and 297 x 420 mm (A3). Originally signed by Atelier Cph.
Note: This print is part of a series of two no. 40 & 41. The print can be a stand alone print or can be purchased with a discount in price if you buy a set in the same size.
